Create your own Paper Snail Family!

This little paper snail family is so cute and super easy to make. Simply add this to your cart to download the FREE template. Print it off, cut, colour, fold and roll. A great weekend or holiday activity for your little ones. Perfect for ages 3+ (with some cutting help). My daughter is 3 and a half in these photos and had so much fun making the “baby” snails, I cut them out to ensure there were no tears if eyeballs were cut off haha! Enjoy!

What you need to create your own cute little paper snail family:

• Scissors
• Colouring pencils, felt pens, crayons etc for decorating
• Black pen, felt, vivid for eyes and mouth
• Printer paper
• Free printable paper snail family template

Cut out snail shapes

Decorate on both sides using colouring pencils, felt pens, crayons or what ever you have handy.

Use a black pen, felt or vivid to add eyes and a smile … or a frown like my daughters bahaha!

Now you have your beautifully decorated snail family it is time to transform them from slugs to snails.
Firstly, fold them all along the 2 dotted lines.

Use a pen or pencil to roll the snail’s shells. Start at the bottom end and roll up to the folded line. Curl the paper around tight for a small shell or loosely for a bigger shell.

YOUR SNAIL FAMILY IS COMPLETE! And how cute are they?!
Maybe your kids might like to make some leaves for them to sit on or get out in the garden and forage some.
